Abstract

This study aimed at identifying the perceptions of counseling students at Yarmouk University of the educational counselor's duties towards the students with special needs, and whether it differs according to their educational level, gender and studying previous courses in special education. To achieve the study aims, a tool for investigating the students' perceptions of the educational counselor's duties towards the students with special needs was developed. The study sample composed of (255) male and female bachelor students from counseling major at Yarmouk University were randomly selected. The findings showed that counseling students perceived the duties of educational counselor towards the students with special needs at high level. It also showed that there were statistical significant differences in the total means of the perceptions of the counseling students of the educational counselor's duties towards the students with special needs due to gender, not to educational level neither to studying previous courses in special education.

الملخص

هدفت هذه الدراسة التعرف إلى تصورات طلبة الإرشاد النفسي في جامعة اليرموك لمهام المرشد التربوي تجاه الطلبة ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة، وفيما إذا كانت هذه التصورات تختلف باختلاف المستوى الدراسي، والجنس، ودراسة مساقات سابقة في التربية الخاصة. ولتحقيق أهدف الدراسة، تم تطوير أداة لإستقصاء عن تصورات الطلبة لمهام المرشد التربوي تجاه الطلبة ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة. وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (255) طالباً وطالبة من طلبة البكالوريوس في تخصص الإرشاد النفسي في جامعة اليرموك، تم اختيارهم بالطريقة العشوائية. أشارت نتائج الدراسة أن تصورات الطلبة لمهام المرشد التربوي تجاه الطلبة ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة كانت بمستوى مرتفع، كما أظهرت النتائج وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في متوسطات تصورات طلبة الإرشاد النفسي ككل لمهام المرشد التربوي تجاه الطلبة ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة تعزى للجنس، ولم تكن هناك فروق في هذه المتوسطات تعزى للمستوى الدراسي، ودراسة مساقات سابقة في التربية الخاصة.
