The Risks and Challenges Facing Social Security in Malaysia and Ways to Address them from an Islamic Educational Perspective

Abstract

The research aims at defining the concept of social security and through a review of a set of definitions for some researchers in this area as the aim of the research to identify the most prominent risks and challenges facing that Social Security in Malaysia through a random sample of teachers, administrators and students at the University of Malaya, where the results showed that all respondents agreed that crime poverty, unemployment and lack of social justice, the lack of equal opportunities is one of the most prominent threats to social security in Malaysia, as the study showed that the citizen of Malaysia enjoys a high level of social consciousness can be used to develop a national plan as much as comprehensive strengthening and consolidation of social security in the Malaysian society, and the study concluded the importance of the role to be played by the Islamic education across major institutions, particularly the family, mosque, school and the media in reducing the risks of social security in Malaysia.

الملخص

هدف البحث إلى تحديد مفهوم الأمن الاجتماعي وذلك من خلال استعراض مجموعة من التعريفات للباحثين في هذا المجال ولقد توصل الباحث لتعريف واضح في هذا المجال، كما هدف البحث لتحديد أبرز المخاطر والتحديات التي تواجه الأمن الاجتماعي في ماليزيا من خلال عينة عشوائية من الأساتذة والإداريين والطلبة في جامعة مالايا حيث أظهرت النتائج أن جميع أفراد العينة متفقون على أن الجريمة والفقر والبطالة وغياب العدالة الاجتماعية وعدم تكافؤ الفرص هي من أبرز المخاطر التي تهدد الأمن الاجتماعي في ماليزيا، كما أبانت الدراسة أن المواطن الماليزي يتمتع بقدر عالٍ من الوعي الاجتماعي يمكن الاستفادة منه في وضع خطة وطنية شاملة للتعزيز وترسيخ أسس الأمن الاجتماعي في المجتمع الماليزي، وخلصت الدراسة إلى أهمية الدور الذي يمكن أن تلعبه التربية الإسلامية عبر مؤسساتها الرئيسية لاسيما الأسرة والمسجد والمدرسة ووسائل الإعلام في الحد من المخاطر التي تهدد الأمن الاجتماعي في ماليزيا.
