Abstract

The research deals with the social groups of the community of Nablus city particularly governors and administrators from brigade commanders and the entrepreneurs, in addition to soldiers sects such as Al-Sibahiyya and Al-Inkishariya (Al-Blukbashiya), and the owners of the religious jobs from judged, Imams (leading of prayers), cares for praying, orators, teachers and endowment caretakers. Moreover, the traders and owners, notables, and the owners of the profession jobs, slaves and followers, and the role of all those in economic activities of the city. Lastly, the research deals with the role of the women in the society. The Research concludes that the social and economic difference was evident in the city because they have revealed some of the functional site and economic activity.

الملخص

يتناول هذا البحث بعضاً من مظاهر الحياة الاجتماعية في مدينة نابلس، وتحديداً الفئات الاجتماعية التي يتكون منها مجتمع المدينة، وبشكل خاص رجال الحكم والإدارة من أمراء الألوية والمتسلمين، والعساكر العثمانية من السباهية والإنكشارية (البلوكباشية)، وأصحاب الوظائف الدينية من قضاة وأئمة ومؤذنين وخطباء ومدرسين ونظّار ومتولّي أوقاف؛ إضافة إلى التجار والملاك والأعيان، وأصحاب الوظائف المهنية والحرفية، والرقيق والأتباع؛ ودور هؤلاء في الحركة الاقتصادية في المدينة. كما يتناول المرأة ودورها في المجتمع. وخلص البحث إلى أن التفاوت الاجتماعي والاقتصادي كان واضحاً في المدينة بسبب ما تمتع به البعض من موقع وظيفي ونشاط اقتصادي.
