Abstract

This study sought to identify the quality of teaching performance for teachers of social and national studies at educational stages in the light of the requirements of the knowledge economy. Sample randomly selected and consisted of (N=600) teachers during the first semester of the academic year (2014/2015). To achieve the study goals, a tool was developed and consisted of five areas and number of - 55- items. The researcher used the following statistical treatments: extraction of averages, standard deviations, multiple analysis and the test of (Scheffe). Results showed that the degree of possession of social and national studies teachers was large in all areas of the tool (teaching strategies, learning techniques, student, teacher, evaluation), the presence of differences in favor of male teachers compared with the female teachers, the presence of differences in favor of teachers who have experience (less than 5 years) compared with teachers who have experience (5-15 years), and teachers who have experience (over 15 years), the presence of differences in favor of for teachers holding (master) compared with teachers holding (doctorate), and the presence of differences in favor of secondary teachers compared to teachers of the basic stage. This study recommends recruiting strategies of teaching and educational activities that raise students' thinking on of the requirements of the knowledge economy of social and national studies subjects.

الملخص

هدفت الدراسة التعرف إلى جودة الأداء التدريسي لمعلمي التربية الاجتماعية والوطنية بالمراحل التعليمية في ضوء متطلبات اقتصاد المعرفة، والبالغ عددهم (600) معلم ومعلمة، واختيرت العينة بالطريقة العشوائية العنقودية أثناء الفصل الدراسي الأول للعام الجامعي (2014/2015م)، ولتحقيق هدف الدراسة تم تطوير أداة تكونت من خمسة محاور وعدد فقراتها (55) فقرة. استخدم الباحث المعالجات الإحصائية الآتية: استخراج المتوسطات الحسابية والانحرافات المعيارية، وتحليل التباين المتعدد، واختبار شيفيه. بينت النتائج أن درجة امتلاك معلمي التربية الاجتماعية والوطنية في جميع مجالات فقرات الأداة (استراتيجيات التدريس، تقنيات التعليم، الطالب، المعلم، التقويم) كانت كبيرة، ووجود فروق لصالح المعلمين مقارنة بالمعلمات، ووجود فروق لصالح المعلمين الذين خبرتهم (أقل من 5 سنوات)، مقارنة بالمعلمين الذين خبرتهم (5-15 سنة)، والمعلمين الذين خبرتهم (أكثر من 15 سنة)، ووجود فروق لصالح المعلمين الذين يحملون درجة الماجستير مقارنة بالمعلمين الذين يحملون درجة الدكتوراه، ووجود فروق لصالح معلمي المرحلة الثانوية مقارنة بمعلمي المرحلة الأساسية. وتوصي الدراسة بتوظيف الاستراتيجيات التدريسية والأنشطة التعليمية التي تثير تفكير الطلبة القائمة على متطلبات اقتصاد المعرفة في تدريس مواد التربية الاجتماعية والوطنية.
