We recommend that further studies need to be done to address the problem of Alexithymia and the its causative factors and to consider it as a leading factor to obesity. We also recommend identity that medical programs to treat patients with Alexithymia need to be developed and to focus on psychological, nutritional and physical rehabilitation of those patients , and to look beyond the traditional ways of losing weights that relay mostly physical exercise and diet control.
