Abstract

: The objective of current research is to develop a computerized program and to measure its impact in improving phonological awareness skills among children with dyslexia, the research sample included 26 students with dyslexia who enrolled in source rooms in Tabouk City schools, they aged 9-12 years old, they were selected based on directing of the school principals, and based on diagnosis that indicated they have learning disabilities specifically dyslexia, the sample was divided into equal two groups: an experimental group received computerized phonological program, and a control group did not received the training, Each of two group included 13 students. The research tools included the phonological awareness test, and the computerized training program were prepared by aoutors. The validity of tools were achieved by content validity (judge validity or face validity. The Reliability of test tool was achieved by Internal consistency reliability, the tools were developed by. The results of the research have found an effectiveness of the computerized training program in improving phonological awareness skills for Students with dyslexia, with significant differences between means of both experimental and control groups in favor of the experimental group. The authors have recommended the need to evaluate and to develop phonological awareness skills for students with dyslexia. Teacher and supervisor working with those students, have to adopt designing and implementing such these programs by computer.
