Abstract

The present paper aimed at analyzing and evaluating the Islamic sciences questions of the Jordanian Secondary Certificate Examinations. The study also revealed the questions representation of Bloom's cognitive levels. The researchers developed an instrument of analysis, which was ensured to be valid and reliable. The findings of the study were as follows: Most of the questions focused on the levels of comprehension, knowledge and analysis. And they excluded application, synthesis and evaluation levels. Most of the questions used were of: (a) the objective types (true, false, multiple-choice, and matching). (b): subjective types (short-answer, open-ended questions). None of the questions used were of the completion type. In light of the findings, the researchers recommended the necessity of having measurement and evaluation experts in writing questions of exams and other recommendations built on the results.
