Prof. Sayed Ahmed Mahmoud

Professor Sayed Ahmed Mahmoud is a Professor of Procedural Law at the Faculty of Law – Ain Shams University. He has served as Head of the Private Law Department and former Vice Dean of the Faculty. He is also an international arbitrator, a lawyer before the Court of Cassation, the Administrative Court, and the Supreme Constitutional Court, as well as a certified legal expert with the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in Paris.
He is a member of the Faculty Council and holds memberships in numerous national and international arbitration centers. He has participated in drafting and developing laws at both the national and international levels in countries such as Egypt, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates. In addition, he has served on promotion committees for faculty members in the field of Private Law, as well as on national and international award committees. He has supervised and examined thousands of master’s and doctoral theses.
Professor Mahmoud has also served as a legal advisor to several presidents of Egyptian and international universities. He has acted as an investigator and member of university disciplinary councils locally and internationally and has received various local and international awards and recognitions. He was the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Law at the University of Sharjah in the UAE and has also directed the Quality Assurance Unit and the Arbitration Center at the Faculty of Law – Ain Shams University.
He has delivered thousands of training courses and lectures and participated in numerous local and international conferences and workshops in the fields of Procedural Law, Arbitration, Evidence Law, and others. He has authored many books, research papers, and articles specializing in Procedural Law, Arbitration, Private International Law, Evidence Law, and Personal Status Law. Professor Mahmoud has also taught at several Egyptian and Arab universities, including universities in Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, the Egyptian Police Academy, and Al-Azhar University’s Faculty of Sharia and Law.
