Prof. Elham Taha Hussein

Dr. Elham Taha Hussein holds a Ph.D. in Modern Theatre and Postcolonial Literature from Purdue University, USA, a Master’s degree in Linguistics for Language and Literature Teaching from the University of Strathclyde, UK, and a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from the United Arab Emirates University. Her research interests focus on postcolonial studies, gender studies, Palestinian literature, and memoirs, diaries, and oral narratives. Dr. Hussein has published numerous studies on topics such as gamification in education, code-switching, translation studies, and flipped learning in the social sciences and humanities. She teaches translation courses, including Legal Translation, Media Translation, Translation Theory, and Tourism Translation. Her work also contributes to supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in promoting inclusive and quality education.
