İrfan Çapan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Basic Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Gazi University. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry and has established a strong academic and research profile in organic and medicinal chemistry.
His research focuses on the design, synthesis, and characterization of bioactive and heterocyclic compounds, with particular emphasis on drug development, enzyme inhibition, and biologically active hybrid molecules. His work integrates experimental and computational approaches, including molecular docking and in silico analysis, contributing to advancements in pharmaceutical and chemical sciences.
Dr. Çapan has an extensive publication record, with more than 60 scientific outputs, including numerous articles indexed in Web of Science and Scopus, and has achieved a solid citation impact and h-index. He has also led and participated in multiple nationally funded research projects, contributed to patents, and supervised graduate research.
