Prof. Saed Zyoud

Prof. Saed Zyoud is Professor of Clinical Toxicology and Clinical Pharmacy at An-Najah National University, Palestine, and a recognized leader in medication safety, poisoning prevention, and health research capacity building in the Eastern Mediterranean region. His work spans clinical toxicology, pharmacoepidemiology, and public health, with a sustained focus on translating scientific evidence into policies that improve patient safety, rational medicine use, and equitable access to healthcare information in low- and middle-income settings.

He serves as Director of the Poison Control and Drug Information Center in Palestine and has played a central role in strengthening clinical research systems through leadership in establishing and advancing the hospital’s Clinical Research Center. Prof. Zyoud has authored more than 400 peer-reviewed publications and is internationally recognised for his bibliometric and health-systems research mapping global trends in therapeutics, toxicology, and public health. His work has contributed to increasing the visibility of research from the Arab region and fostering regional and international collaboration.

Beyond his research output, he is actively engaged in mentoring emerging investigators, advising on research policy, and supporting initiatives that promote evidence-informed healthcare and stronger scientific partnerships across the region.
