The current study aims at identifying the relationship between the social support and satisfaction with life as well as psychological strength among Palestinian women losing their husbands .the study population consisted of (7194) , Take  sample consists of (129) women. To achieve the objectives of the study, the two researchers have employed the scale of social support, satisfaction with life and psychological hardness. After verifying the reliability and validity of the tools, they have been applied to the study sample. The findings of the study reveal that there are statistically significant relationship between the social support and satisfaction with life as well as psychological strength among women losing their husbands. The study also shows that there are no significant differences in social support satisfaction with life and psychological hardness attributed to the bereaved one (martyr - natural death). However, there are differences in the study variables due to the nature of residence (independent – shared). In addition, the study findings indicate that there are differences in satisfaction with life among women losing their husbands attributed to age, and in favor of old women. Finally, the study findings point out significant effects of social support on satisfaction with life and psychological strength.

هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى تعرف علاقة المساندة الاجتماعية بالرضا عن الحياة والصلابة النفسية لدى المرأة الفلسطينية فاقدة الزوج، تكون مجتمع الدراسة من (7194)، تم اخذ عينة من (129) امرأة ممن فقدن أزواجهن، ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة استخدم الباحثان مقياس المساندة الاجتماعية والرضا عن الحياة والصلابة النفسية، وبعد التحقق من ثبات الأدوات وصدقها تم تطبيقها على عينة الدراسة، وقد أظهرت نتائج الدراسة وجود علاقة ذات دلالة إحصائية بين المساندة الاجتماعية والرضا عن الحياة والصلابة النفسية لدى المرأة فاقدة الزوج، كما أظهرت نتائج الدراسة عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في المساندة الاجتماعية والرضا عن الحياة والصلابة النفسية تعزى لنوع الفقدان (شهيد- غير شهيد) في حين وجدت فروق في متغيرات الدراسة تعزى لنوع السكن (مستقل – مشترك) كذلك كشفت نتائج الدراسة عن وجود فروق في الرضا عن الحياة لدى المرأة فاقدة الزوج تعزى للعمر ولصالح كبيرات السن، ووجود أثر دال للمساندة الاجتماعية على الرضا والصلابة النفسية.
