Abstract

This research aims to identify and interpret the psychological and ‎social incentives that affect the adoption and use of IT‏ ‏‎(Information ‎Technology) in Palestinian schools. It will attempt to help find ways to ‎overcome the potential obstacles that obstruct the ideal use of IT in the ‎educational sector. In this research, the influence of social and ‎psychological variables on IT use in schools was examined using TAM ‎‎(Technology Acceptance Model). It was found that age, English language ‎skills, computer skills and technology availability have a positive impact ‎on the teachers' attitude towards IT and the use of IT in the educational ‎process.‎

الملخص

يهدف البحث إلى فهم الدوافع النفسية والاجتماعية للمدرسين نحو استخدام وتبني تكنولوجيا ‏المعلومات في العملية التعليمية ومدى تقبلهم لها، ما يساعد على إزالة المعوقات التي قد تحول ‏دون الاستخدام الأمثل للتكنولوجيا في العملية التعليمية. تُطَبق الدراسة نموذج ‏TAM‏ (نموذج ‏تقبل التكنولوجيا) الذي يحاول تفسير دوافع تقبل واستخدام تكنولوجيا المعلومات، تبين أن العمر ‏والتمكن من اللغة الإنجليزية والمهارات في استخدام الحاسوب و توفر الانترنت والبرمجيات ‏وتوفر جهاز الحاسوب في المنزل لدى المعلم له ارتباط إيجابي وقوي مع اعتقاد المعلم بسهولة ‏استخدام تكنولوجيا المعلومات في العملية التعليمية، ويؤدي إلى توجهه نحو استخدام التكنولوجيا.‏
