Abstract

Objective: The study aimed to identify the obstacles to professional practice of social work in the family field in Yemeni society. Method: Since the study was quantitative, it relied on the descriptive-analytical method and used the social survey technique by sample. To collect information, a questionnaire tool was used, and a non-probability sample was conveniently selected, including 117 social workers working in social institutions. Findings: The study found that the societal obstacles are high and include weak community awareness and lack of centers dedicated to domestic violence. The institutional obstacles include lack of financial support and absence of clear policies. The obstacles related to the social worker were the least impactful and include difficulty in communicating with abused women. The obstacles related to the abused woman include non-disclosure of the violence and lack of conviction in the role of social workers. The family obstacles were the most impactful and include customs and traditions that prevent disclosure of domestic violence and the family's feeling of shame. The difference tests revealed no statistically significant differences between the average responses of the study sample attributed to the variables of gender, age, educational qualification, specialization, and years of experience. Recommendations: The study recommended enhancing the role of media in raising awareness in Yemeni society about domestic violence and establishing specialized institutions to receive cases of domestic violence against women.

الهدف: هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على معوقات الممارسة المهنية للخدمة الاجتماعية في المجال الأسري في المجتمع اليمني. المنهج: نظرًا لأن الدراسة كانت كمية، فقد اعتمدت على المنهج الوصفي التحليلي واستخدمت أسلوب المسح الاجتماعي بالعينة. لجمع المعلومات، تم استخدام أداة الاستبانة، واختيرت عينة غير احتمالية بالطريقة الميسرة، شملت (117) أخصائيًا اجتماعيًا يعملون في المؤسسات الاجتماعية. النتائج: توصلت الدراسة إلى أن معوقات المجتمعي مرتفعه وتتمثل في ضعف الوعي المجتمعي ونقص المراكز المخصصة للعنف الأسري، وبرزت المعوقات الراجعة إلى المؤسسة في نقص الدعم المالي وغياب السياسات الواضحة، وكانت المعوقات الراجعة إلى الأخصائي الاجتماعي الأقل تأثيراً، وتشمل صعوبة التواصل مع النساء المعنفات، وتتمثل المعوقات الراجعة إلى المرأة المعنفة في عدم الإفصاح عن العنف، وعدم الاقتناع بدور الأخصائيين الاجتماعيين، وكانت المعوقات الأسرية الأكثر تأثيراً، وتشمل العادات والتقاليد التي تمنع الكشف عن العنف الأسري، والشعور الأسرة بالخجلأ. كما كشفت اختبارات الفروق عن عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطات استجابات عينة الدراسة وتُعزى لمتغير النوع الاجتماعي، العمر، المؤهل العلمي، التخصص، سنوات الخبرة. التوصيات: أوصت الدراسة بتعزيز دور الإعلام في توعية المجتمع اليمني حول العنف الأسري، وإنشاء مؤسسات متخصصة لاستقبال حالات العنف الأسري تجاه المرأة.
