Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the altruism and helping for a sample of children's teachers in Jordan and to determine the effect of both genders, and age on helping. The study also aimed to expose the relative importance of helping motives according to the children's teachers from Wadi El-Seir District,. The validity and reliability of the scale were ensured, the study showed that: 1) The helping degree was high. 2) There were a significant differences in the degree of altruistic behavior due to gender (for males). 3) There were no significant differences in the degree of helping due to age. 4) There were significant differences in the degree of helping due to gender (for males). 5) There were no significant differences in the degree of low -cost helping due to age and gender or the interaction between both of them. 6) According to the children's teachers, the most significant helping motives are: religion, self-reinforcement, responsibility, efficiency, and empathy.

استهدفت هذه الدراسة التعرف على سلوك المساعدة لدى عينة من معلمي الأطفال في الأردن، وأثر متغيري الجنس والعمر والتفاعل بينهما على هذا السلوك، وأثرهما على درجة المساعدة الإيثارية والمساعدة ذات التكلفة المنخفضة، كما استهدفت الدراسة الكشف عن الأهمية النسبية لدوافع المساعدة من وجهة نظر معلمي الأطفال. ولأغراض الدراسة تم تطبيق استبانة على عينة تألفت من (168) معلماً ومعلمة تم اختيارهم من رياض الأطفال ومدرسي التعليم الأساسي بمنطقة وادي السير، كما تم التأكد من صدق الأداة وثباتها. وقد أظهرت النتائج الآتي: 1( كانت درجة المساعدة لدى معلمي الأطفال مرتفعة. 2( توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في درجة المساعدة تعزى للجنس (لصالح الذكور). 3( لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في درجة المساعدة تعزى للعمر. 4( توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في درجة الإيثار تعزى للجنس (لصالح الذكور). 5) لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في درجة المساعدة ذات التكلفة المنخفضة تعزى للجنس أو للعمر أو للتفاعل بينهما. 6) إن الدوافع الأكثر أهمية في دفع الفرد لسلوك المساعدة من وجهة نظر معلمي الأطفال هي: الدين، التعزيز الذاتي، المسؤولية، الكفاءة، التعاطف.
