Abstract

The Mongols attacked the Muslim World in the 17th century, and the ‎conflict continued with the Muslims for more than 200 years, i.e. 617 – ‎‎803. Wars between the two sides were with alternate success. During ‎such era, many Mongolian words and phrases became in use in the ‎Arabic language. Such loanwords were used in literature and history ‎books. In this paper, the researcher explores the Mongolian words ‎mentioned in Mamluk literature and history books about Mamluks (648-‎‎803), explains their various meanings, refers to the text in which such ‎words and phrases were used and how their pronunciation was changed, ‎and proves the way they were written in Arabic sources which dealt with ‎that era.
