Abstract

The objective of this study was to explore the effect of an enrichment program in national education on the trends of the distinguished students toward this subject with the students of the tenth basic grade in King Abdullah II's School for Excellence in Zarqa. The study population consisted of al the students of the tenth basic grade in King Abdullah II's School for Excellence in Zarqa (Jordan) Governorate, comprising (78) male and female students. They were distributed over two groups, experimental group of (37) male and female students, who took the course based on the enrichment program in social studies. Meanwhile, the control group consisted of (41) male and female students who did not take the enrichment program. Both groups were subjected to the Attitudes Scale toward National Education. The results of the study indicated that there are statistically significant differences between the performance of the two groups, i.e. experimental and control groups, in favor of the former, concerning the distinguished students' trends toward National Education, attributed to the enrichment program. The results further indicated that there are no statistically significant differences in the development of the Attitudes, attributed to the six and interaction between the two variables of gender and type of the program.

الملخص

هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على أثر برنامج إثرائي في التربية الوطنية على اتجاهات طلبة مدرسة الملك عبدالله الثاني للتميز في محافظة الزرقاء نحوها، تكون مجتمع هذه الدراسة من جميع طلبة الصف العاشر الأساسي في مدرسة الملك عبد الله الثاني للتميز في محافظة الزرقاء، و بلغ عددهم (78) طالبا وطالبة، قسموا إلــى مجموعتين: تجريبية وضمت (37) طالبا وطالبة، طبق عليها المنهاج الإثرائي في الدراسات الاجتماعية، ومجموعة ضابطة ضمت (41) طالبا وطالبة، لم يطبق عليها البرنامج الإثرائي. خضعت المجموعتان لمقياس للاتجاهات نحو التربية الوطنية، فأشارت نتائج هذه الدراسة إلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين أداء المجموعتين التجريبية والضابطة لصالح المجموعة التجريبية في اتجاهات الطلبة المتميزين نحو التربية الوطنية تعزى للبرنامج الإثرائي، كما أظهرت النتائج عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في تنمية الاتجاهات تعزى للجنس وللتفاعل بين متغيري الجنس ونوع البرنامج.
