Abstract

This study aimed at examining the possibility extent of applying the electronic learning systems at the Jordanian private schools, through answering the study questions. The study population consisted of all the (male and female) principals of the Jordanian private schools which count (1120). A questionnaire which comprised of seven domains, namely: (Electronic instruments for environmental teaching, school administration, training teachers, students affairs, curriculum computerizing, and virtual laboratories) was constructed based on the theoretical framework, the previous studies, and the international electronic learning systems, in order to answer the study questions. The validity and reliability of the study tool were verified, as well as its distribution and carrying out the suitable statistical processing. The study findings indicated that the possibility of applying the electronic learning systems at the Jordanian private schools is made at a moderate level, as shown by the views of their principals. The study further showed that there are no statistically significant differences at ( ≤ 0.05) level related to the gender and the educational stage, concerning the applicability degree of the electronic systems at their schools. In the light of the study, the researchers recommended to provide the technological and information infrastructures into the private schools, so as to transfer them into an electronic environment both inside and outside the classrooms. The researchers further recommended to qualify and train the administrators, teachers and students on electronic learning systems skill use.
