Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between self-concept and the level of aspiration among professional soccer players in Palestine. In addition, to determine the differences in self-concept and aspiration according to the order of the club, playing position, and experience. The results of the study showed the following: - The level of self-concept among professional soccer players in Palestine was moderate, where the percentage of the response was (69.0%). The level of aspiration amongst professional soccer players in Palestine was low, where the percentage of the response was (56.8%). There was a positive correlation between self-concept and the level of aspiration amongst professional soccer players in Palestine, where the value of Pearson correlation coefficient was (0.83). Based on the findings of the study the researcher recommended the coaches to increase attention for development of self-concept and aspiration amongst players.

الملخص

هدفت الدراسة الحالية الى التعرف على العلاقة بين مفهوم الذات ومستوى الطموح لدى اللاعبين المحترفين لكرة القدم في فلسطين، إضافة إلى تحديد الفروق في مفهوم الذات ومستوى الطموح لدى اللاعبين المحترفين لكرة القدم في فلسطين، تعزى إلى متغيرات، ترتيب النادي، مركز اللعب، الخبرة، واستخدم الباحث المنهج الوصفي وذلك لملائمته لطبيعة الدراسة وتساؤلاتها، وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة ما يلي: أن مستوى مفهوم الذات لدى اللاعبين المحترفين لكرة القدم في فلسطين كان بمستوى متوسط، حيث وصل المتوسط الحسابي ((3.45، ووصلت النسبة المئوية للاستجابة إلى (69.0%)، أن مستوى الطموح لدى اللاعبين المحترفين لكرة القدم في فلسطين كان بمستوى قليل، حيث وصل المتوسط الحسابي ((1.94، ووصلت النسبة المئوية للاستجابة إلى (%56.8)، وجود علاقة ارتباطيه ايجابية دالة إحصائيا عند مستوى الدلالة(0.05= α) بين مفهوم الذات ومستوى الطموح لدى اللاعبين المحترفين لكرة القدم في فلسطين، حيث وصلت قيمة معامل الارتباط بيرسون إلى (0.83). وأوصي الباحث بضرورة اهتمام المدربين بتنمية مفهوم الذات والطموح لدى اللاعبين من خلال عمل المعسكرات التدريبية وإعطاء المحاضرات وذلك قبل البدء بالمنافسة وهو ما يسمى بالإعداد النفسي طويل المدى، إضافة إلى توجيه النصح للاعبين حول مستقبلهم ووضع أهداف محددة وواضحة تتماشى مع مستوى طموحهم، بالإضافة إلى توجيههم حول طرق التفكير بحل المشكلات وكيفية تقبل التجديد وتحفيزهم على عدم اليأس.
