Abstract

The concept of social capital and its character in development has obtained worldwide attention and academic debate in late years. Also social work profession received a universal consideration because of its role in bringing about positive and meaningful change in communities to achieve social well-being of human life. Therefore, this study aimed to find out about the possibility of including the subject of social capital in the literature and methods of intervention of the social work profession, through the identification of the views of social work students about social capital, and their view of the relationship between social capital and social work, as well as courses that teach them, to know the extent guaranteed by the related topics of social capital-analysis. The researcher used a qualitative methodology, data were collected through focus groups to get feedback from students, and analyses the content of the courses. The study found a number of results that were most important: lack of knowledge of the term social capital, and thus results showed that the relationship between social work and social capital are almost non-existent on the ground, also, they have some notes on the content and teaching methods. The participants expressed their belief in the possibility and even necessity of using the social capital in the professional intervention of social work. The research, to ask about the possibility of depicting a proposal to include the subject of social capital courses in social work.

الملخص

استحوذ مفهوم رأس المال الاجتماعي ودوره في التنمية على اهتمام عالمي على كافة الأصعدة، كما حظيت مهنة الخدمة الاجتماعية باهتمام كبير؛ لما لها من دور في إحداث التغيير الإيجابي الهادف في المجتمعات لتحقيق الرفاه الاجتماعي للإنسان. لذا فقد هدفت هذه الدراسة للتعرف على إمكانية استفادة مهنة الخدمة الاجتماعية من رأس المال الاجتماعي في أدبيّاتها وأساليب تدخلها المهني، وذلك من خلال التعرف إلى آراء طلبة الخدمة الاجتماعية حول مفهوم رأس المال الاجتماعي لديهم، ووجهة نظرهم في العلاقة بينه وبين الخدمة الاجتماعية. وكذلك تحليل المساقات التي تُدرّس لهم لمعرفة مدى تضمنها لمواضيع ذات صلة برأس المال الاجتماعي، ومناقشة ذلك في ضوء الأدبيات ذات الصلة بالموضوع. وقد أُجريت الدراسة الميدانية على عينة من طلبة البكالوريوس في الخدمة الاجتماعية في الجامعة الأردنية- مستوى السنة الرابعة، والبالغ عددهم أربعين طالباً وطالبة. واسْتخدَم الباحث المنهج النوعي، كما استُخدِمت المجموعات البؤرية لمعرفة آراء الطلبة، وتحليل مضمون المساقات التي تُدَّرس للطلبة. وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى مجموعة من النتائج كان من أهمها: عدم معرفة الطلبة بمصطلح رأس المال الاجتماعي؛ وبالتالي فإن العلاقة بين الخدمة الاجتماعية ورأس المال الاجتماعي لديهم تكاد تكون منعدمة على أرض الواقع، إلا أنهم وبعد تعرفهم على مفهوم رأس المال الاجتماعي، عبروا عن قناعتهم بإمكانية بل وضرورة استخدام رأس المال الاجتماعي في التدخل المهني للخدمة الاجتماعية. كما أبدوا بعض الملاحظات على محتويات تدريس الخدمة الاجتماعية وأساليبه. وتوصلت الدراسة لطرح تصور مقترح حول إمكانية تضمين موضوع رأس المال الاجتماعي في مساقات الخدمة الاجتماعية.
