Abstract
This study aimed at explaining the main concept of Total Quality Management, and exploring the extent of applying the Total Quality Management in the faculties and departments of Hotel and Tourism education as perceived by faculty members in Jordanian public and private Universities. The study also aimed at identifying the most important obstacles in applying Total Quality Management in the faculties and departments of Hotel and Tourism education in Jordanian universities as perceived by faculty members, and provide some recommendations for improvement.Questionnaire was used to gather data. The sample of the study was selected out of all Jordanian universities, which have Hotel and Tourism programs, they are twelve public and private universities, out of twenty five Jordanian universities, this sample consisted of (86) faculty members in the faculties and departments of Hotel and Tourism in public and private universities. The most important results were the following:Moderate degree of applying Total Quality Management, in all dimensions, except of “Students’ Services System” and “Organizational Relationships”, which have high degrees.

الملخص
هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى توضيح المفاهيم الأساسية لإدارة الجودة الشاملة، والتعرف على درجة تطبيق مفهوم إدارة الجودة الشاملة في كليات وأقسام إدارة السياحة والفنادق في الجامعات الأردنية الرسمية والأهلية، من وجهة نظر أعضاء الهيئة التدريسية، وهدفت الدراسة أيضاً إلى تحديد أهم المعوقات التي تحول دون تطبيق مفهوم إدارة الجودة الشاملة في كليات وأقسام إدارة السياحة والفنادق من وجهة نظر أعضاء الهيئة التدريسية، ووضع المقترحات التطويرية المناسبة.وقد استخدم الباحث الاستبانة كوسيلة لجمع البيانات. وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (86) عضو من أعضاء الهيئة التدريسية في كليات وأقسام إدارة السياحة والفنادق في جميع الجامعات الأردنية الرسمية والأهلية، والتي لديها برامج سياحية وفندقية، والبالغ عددها إثنتا عشرة جامعة من أصل خمس وعشرين جامعة رسمية وأهلية في الأردن. ومن أهم النتائج التي أظهرتها الدراسة ما يلي:أن درجة تطبيق مفهوم إدارة الجودة الشاملة في كليات وأقسام السياحة والفنادق في الجامعات الأردنية الرسمية والأهلية كانت متوسطة على الأبعاد ككل، باستثناء بُعدين هما "خدمات الطلاب" و "العلاقات التنظيمية" حيث حصلا على درجة تطبيق مرتفعة.
