Abstract

This study aimed at exploring "the effect of the DRIVER model on acquisition of mathematical concepts for the fifth grade students' and their tendency towards learning in public schools at Nablus directorate". The study sample consisted of (75) students of fifth grade girl students at Mahmoud Abu Ghazalah basic school. The study found that there are statistically significant differences between the means scores of the experimental and control groups in the post-test to acquire mathematical concepts for the benefit of the experimental group. There are also statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental and control groups in the measurement of tendencies towards learning mathematics, in favor of the experimental group. There is a statistically significant relationship between the degrees of achievement of the experimental group in the acquisition of mathematical concepts and their degrees towards tendencies of learning mathematics. Based on the finding of the study showed that, the researcher recommended employing DRIVER model in teaching mathematics to the students because this model has the ability to acquire mathematical concepts among the sample of the study.

الملخص

هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى معرفة أَثَر استخدام أُنموذَج درايفَر في اكتساب المفاهيم الرياضية لطلاب الصَّف الخامِس الأَساسي وميولهم نَحو تعلمها في المدارس الحكومية في محافظة نابلس، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (75) طالبة من طالبات الصف الخامس الأساسي في مدرسة محمود أبو غزالة الأساسية للبنات في نابلس، وتوصلت الدراسة إلى أنه توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطي درجات طالبات المجموعتين التجريبية والضابطة في الاختبار البعدي لاكتساب المفاهيم الرياضية والميول نحو تعلّم الرياضيات، لصالح المجموعة التجريبية. وتوجد علاقة ذات دلالة إحصائية بين درجات تحصيل المجموعة التجريبية في اكتساب المفاهيم الرياضية ودرجات ميولهم نحو تعلم الرياضيات، وفي ضوء نتائج الدراسة أوصى الباحثون بتوظيف أنموذج درايفر في تدريس الرياضيات للطالبات لقدرته على اكتساب المفاهيم الرياضية لدى أفراد عينة الدراسة.
