Abstract
This study aims at investigating validity and reliability indicators of the cognitive complexity test amongst under graduated students at Yarmouk University. The scale was translated to Arabic language, and edited to the Jordanian environment. It was applied to a random sample of (294) Yarmouk university students through which validity and reliability were investigated. The results of the study revealed relevant psychometric properties. The factor analysis also reveals three factors which explain (%53.243) of the total variance. It showed also no difference in the factorial structure of the Jordanian scale compared with the original one. The study ended with some recommendations, such as: conducting more studies on other environments to investigate its psychometric properties on other populations and using this form to reveal the cognitive complexity amongst other samples, and with other variables.

الملخص
هدفت الدراسة إلى استقصاء دلالات الصدق والثبات لمقياس التعقيد المعرفي لدى طلبة جامعة اليرموك، إذ تم تعريب المقياس للبيئة الأردنية، وتطبيقه على عينة عشوائية من طلبة جامعة اليرموك تكونت من (294) طالبًا وطالبة. أظهرت النتائج تمتع المقياس بدلالات صدق وثبات مناسبة، كما كشفت نتائج التحليل العاملي عن وجود ثلاثة عوامل فسرت ما نسبته (53.245%) من التباين الكلي، أي تطابق البنية العاملية للصورة الأردنية مع بنية الصورة الأصلية، وخلصت الدراسة لعدة توصيات منها: إجراء المزيد من الدراسات للتحقق من الخصائص السيكومترية لمقياس التعقيد المعرفي على مجتمعات دراسية أخرى، واستخدام هذه الصورة في الكشف عن التعقيد المعرفي لدى عينات مختلفة، وربطه بمتغيرات أخرى.
