Abstract

The present study aimed to reveal the effectiveness of a proposed study unit based on the theory of funds of knowledge in the development of agricultural concepts, and the level of motivation towards learning among students of the fifth grade in the Sultanate of Oman. The researchers used a semi-experimental approach, to achieve the objectives of the study. The study sample consisted of (21) were selected from Al-Bushra school from the governorate of Al-Dakhiliyah. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researchers developed two tools: The first was an agricultural concept included in the proposed study unit compromised of (21) questions and the second tool was a motivation scale towards learning consisting of (22) items. The stability of the tools was verified by a group of experts while their reliability was obtained by applying the coefficient Alpha Cronbach and it was (0.72), for the Agricultural concepts test and (0.0878) for the motivation scale towards learning. Findings of the study revealed that there were significant statistical differences in both agricultural concepts test and motivation scale towards learning at the level of (α = 0.05) in favor post-test. Consequently, the researchers proposed several recommendations; such as: employing the local agricultural concepts in the curriculum; designing the curriculum to suit the student environments in which they live; and benefiting from families and their life experiences and employing them in the educational process.

الملخص

هَدَفت الدراسَة الحاليَّة إلى الكشفِ عن فاعليَّة وحدة دراسيَّة مُقترحَة قائمة على نظرية الأرصدة المعرفيَّة في تنمية المفاهيم الزراعيَّة، ومستوى الدافعيَّة نحو التعلُّم لدى طَلبةِ الصفِّ الخامس الأساسيّ بسلطنة عُمان؛ إذ استخدمَ الباحثان المنهَجَ شبه التجريبيّ لتحقيق أهداف الدراسة، وتكوَّنت عيّنة الدراسة من (21) طالبًا وطالبة من طَلبة الصفّ الخامس الأساسيّ بمدرسة البشرى الخاصَّة بسلطنة عُمان. ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة؛ استخدمَ الباحثان أداتين تمثَّلت الأداة الأولى في اختبار المفاهيم الزراعيَّة المُتضمنة في الوحدة الدراسيَّة المُقترحة والمكوَّن من(21) سؤالاً، ومقياس الدافعيَّة نحوَ التعلُّم والمُكوَّن من(22) عبارةً مقسَّمة على خمسة محاور. وقد تحقَّق الباحثان من صدق الأدوات من خلال عرضِها على المحكمين المختصين. كما أوجدت دلالات الثبات من خلال استخدام معامل الثبات ألفا كرومباخ؛ إذ بلغ للاختبار التحصيلي (0.60)، بينما بلغ(0.0878) لمقياس الدافعية نحو التعلُّم. وقد توصَّلت نتائج الدراسة إلى وجود فرقٍ دالٍّ إحصائيًا في اختبار المفاهيم الزراعية ومقياس الدافعية نحو التعلم عند مستوى دلالة (0.05=α) لصالح الاختبار البعدي، وفي ضوءِ ذلك أوصى الباحثان بعدد من التوصيات منها توظيفُ المفاهيمِ الزراعيَّة المحليَّة في المناهج الدراسيَّة، وتصميمُ المناهجِ الدراسيَّة بما يتناسب مع بيئات الطلبة التي يعيشون فيها، والاستفادةُ من الأسرِ وخِبراتِهم الحياتيَّة وتوظيفها في العمليَّة التعليميَّة.
