Abstract

The study aimed at finding out the impact of the followed leadership styles and the practiced administrative creativity among private schools' principals in West Bank, on the institutional performance, from the point of view of subordinates. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, the descriptive analytical methodology was employed, as well as, using the questionnaire as the main instrument for data collection. The questionnaire answers were collected from a sample of (393) male and female employees, working in private schools, representing (4.1%) of the study population, which is (9,617) male and female employees, who were selected according to the stratified random sampling method. The structural equations' model was used to test the study hypotheses, by applying the SMART-PLS 3.7 software. The study indicated several results, including the existence of a statistically significant positive effect relationship of the followed leadership style, and the administrative creativity, with all its dimensions, on the institutional performance in private schools in West Bank, and a non-significant positive effect relationship of the "laissez faire" style, while the autocratic style had a negative non-significant effect. Finally, the study presented several recommendations to improve leadership practices and to raise the level of administrative creativity within the Palestinian educational institutions.
