Fire hazards are common in forests of Jordan. For this reason, the study was focused on the different methods to analyze the human and natural characteristics of northwest Jordan for predicting the possibility of forest fire in the study area. The methodology was applied by using satellite images, Geographic Information System (GIS), Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Digital Elevation Model (DEM) as well as different extracted data from various sources which is important to produce forest fire probability map. The results of the study showed that about 820 km2, which represent 34% of the area is vulnerable of fires. The study recommended an installation of early monitoring system to avoid forest fire based on linking Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Information Technology (IT) and employing Artificial Intelligence techniques.

إن أخطار الحرائق شائعة في غابات الأردن، لذلك ركزت هذه الدراسة على الطرق المختلفة لتحليل الخصائص الطبيعية والبشرية لأراضي شمال غرب الأردن للتنبؤ باحتمالية الحرائق فيها، واعتمدت منهجية الدراسة على تحليل المرئيات الفضائية ونموذج الارتفاعات الرقمية في بيئة نظم المعلومات الجغرافية، وعلى تطبيق نموذج التحليل الهرمي Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) في سبيل إنتاج خريطة تمثل الفئات المحتملة لحدوث حرائق الغابات في أجزاء منطقة الدراسة، وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن نحو 820 كم2 معرضة للحرائق بشكل كبير والتي تمثل 34% من إجمالي مساحة منطقة الدراسة، وأوصت الدراسة أخيرا بتصميم نظام للمراقبة والإنذار المبكر في حال حدوث حرائق حرجية، يقوم على الربط بين نظم المعلومات الجغرافية ((GIS وتكنولوجيا المعلومات (IT) وبتوظيف تقنيات الذكاء الاصطناعي.
