Abstract

The present study aims at investigating the impact of the electronic bully on the academic achievement of Irbid National University, whereby the researcher used the descriptive approach to fit the objective of the study, and a questionnaire for data collection. The study sample is (200) of male and female students from Irbid National University were chosen randomly. The results showed the electronic bully level was high, and a significant correlation for the electronic bully with the academic achievements for Irbid National University students; whereby the correlation (R) was (-0.564) at the level (α≤0.05). The results showed the electronic bully level was high, and no significant correlation for the electronic bully with the academic achievements based on the gender variable, and significant correlation for the academic achievement based on the college variable. The study recommended educating students in universities about strategies to confronting electronic bullying.

الملخص

هدفت الدراسة إلى معرفة أثر التنمر الإلكتروني على التحصيل الدراسي لدى طلبة جامعة إربد الأهلية، حيث استخدم الباحث المنهج الوصفي لملاءمته أغراض الدراسة، وتم استخدام الاستبانه لجمع بيانات الدراسة. وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (200) من طلاب وطالبات جامعة إربد الأهلية، تم اختيارهم بطريقة عشوائية بسيطة، وأظهرت النتائج أن مستوى مجال التنمر الالكتروني كان مرتفعاً، كما أظهرت نتائج التحليل الإحصائي وجود تأثير ذو دلالة إحصائية للتنمر الإلكتروني على التحصيل الدراسي لدى طلبة جامعة إربد الأهلية، إذ بلغ معامل الإرتباط R ((-0.564 عند مستوى دلالة (α≤0.05)، كما أظهرت النتائج عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة احصائية لمجالي التنمر الإلكتروني والتحصيل الدراسي تبعاً لمتغير الجنس، وعدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة احصائية لمجال التحصيل الدراسي تبعاً لمتغير الكلية. وأوصت الدراسة بتثقيف الطلبة في الجامعات باستراتيجيات مواجهة التنمر الإلكتروني.
