Abstract

The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between the degree of practicing transformational leadership by principals of AL-Karak Governorate and their teachers’ individual innovative behavior. The sample of the study consisted of (358) teachers. In order to answer the research questions, data were analyzed by using (SPSS) software. Pearson correlation and multiple, stepwise regression were also computed. The results of the study have shown amoderate practice of the transformational leadership among principals of school, and amoderate practice of the individual innovative behavior among their teachers. The results of the study have shown also a significant, positive and moderate relationship between the degree of practicing transformational leadership as a whole and its dimensions and teachers individual innovative behavior with a correlation coefficient equals to (0.515). The results also indicated that transformational leadership is a moderate predictor with a statistically significance difference for Individual Innovative Behavior (0.501), and the most predictive transformational leadership dimensions for teachers individual innovative behavior is inspiration motivation (0.406), followed by idealized influence (0.187), then intellectual stimulation (0.155). The study gave a number of recommendations for practice and future research.
