Abstract

Objective: This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of children’s folkloric songs in developing musical abilities among gifted students in the lower basic stage. Method: The study sample was selected using the simple random sampling method and consisted of 19 students (boys and girls) from the Arab Episcopal School in Irbid Governorate. The study adopted a one-group experimental design, in which the Seashore Measures of Musical Talents (short form), standardized for the Arab environment (Sadiq, 2001), was administered to the participants. Main Findings & Conclusions: The results revealed statistically significant differences at the level of (α = 0.05) between the pre-test and post-test scores in favor of the post-test, indicating the effectiveness of folkloric songs in enhancing the musical abilities of gifted children. Recommendations: "The study recommends integrating folk and popular music into the curricula of the first three grades to enhance children's musical abilities, accompanied by precise assessment programs to monitor the development of these skills."

الملخص

الهدف: هدفتْ هذه الدراسةُ إلى التعرّفِ على فاعليةِ الأغاني الفلكلوريّة للأطفال في تنميةِ القُدراتِ الموسيقيّة لدى الطلَبةِ المتفوّقين في المرحلةِ الأساسيّةِ الدُنيا. المنهج: تمّ اختيارُ عيّنةِ الدراسةِ بطريقةِ العيّنةِ العشوائيّةِ البسيطة، وتكوّنتْ من (19) طفلًا وطفلةً من المدرسةِ الأسقفيّةِ العربيّة في محافظةِ إربد. استخدمتِ الدراسةُ التصميمَ التجريبيَّ للمجموعةِ الواحدة، حيث تمّ تطبيقُ اختبارِ "سيشور" للقُدراتِ الموسيقيّة (الصورة المختصرة)، وهو اختبارٌ تمّ تقنينُه على البيئةِ العربيّة (صادق، 2001). أهم النتائج، الاستنتاجات: وأظهرتْ نتائجُ الدراسةِ وجودَ فروقٍ ذاتِ دلالةٍ إحصائيّةٍ عند مستوى (α = 0.05) بين متوسّطي درجاتِ الاختبارِ القبليّ والاختبارِ البَعديّ، لصالحِ الاختبارِ البعديّ، ممّا يُشير إلى فاعليةِ الأغاني الفلكلوريّة في تنميةِ القُدراتِ الموسيقيّة لدى الأطفالِ المتفوّقين، التوصيات: توصي الدراسة بإدماج الموسيقى الشعبية والفلكلورية في مناهج الصفوف الثلاثة الأولى لتعزيز القدرات الموسيقية للأطفال، مع تطبيق برامج تقييمية دقيقة لرصد نمو هذه المهارات.
