English Language Teacher’s Implementation of Effective Teaching Principles in Nablus Schools

Abstract

This study aimed at identifying the English language teachers’ implementation of effective teaching principles in Nablus schools. To achieve this goal, the study attempted to answer the following questions. 1. What was the degree of implementation of the effective teaching by English language teacher in Nablus Schools? 2. Did the degree of implementing effective teaching by English language teachers differ according to gender? 3. Did the degree of implementing effective teaching by English language teachers differ according to academic qualification? 4. Did the degree of implementing effective teaching by English language teachers differ according to experience? The instrument was validated and proved to be reliable. Data were collected and analyzed. the results showed that classroom mangement, teaching ability were the most practised principles, where as araluation and profess and development were the least implemented principles. In light of these findings, the researcher arrived at a number of recommendations such as the English language teachers’ pursue of their study, and require English language teachers to participate in short courses and workshops.
