The study aimed to identifying the means that enable the Palestinian refugees in the West-Bank and Gaza-Strip to over come the deteriorating economic situation, and the low standard of living during the Al-Aqsa intifada. To achieve that, the study was conducted on a sample of 637 persons, which represented %1 of the total refugees, astrarified random sample used to collect the data. The study reveals that the Israeli military and economic blockades have seven economic impacts on the life’s of the Palestinian refugees. However, the refugees mange to adapt themselves to the new economic situation by many ways such as: the exhaustion of savings, the spending on basic needs, the postponement of the payment of water and electricity bills, the financial borrowing from family and relatives, working over times, the intensification of agriculture and home-economy, and the use of children in the laber –market. In the light of the finding the researchers put forward a number of recommendation such as connecting reliefe with developments.

هدف هذا البحث إلى تحديد أهم آليات تكيف اللاجئين الفلسطينيين مع تردي الأوضاع الاقتصادية وما رافقها من تدني مستوى المعيشة خلال انتفاضة الأقصى في الضفة الغربية وقطاع غزة ولتحقيق ذلك تمت الدراسة على عينة قوامها 637 فردا وهي تعادل ما نسبته 1% من مجتمع الدراسة، وتم توزيع الاستمارة بصورة طبقية عشوائية. وقد بينت النتائج أن اثر الحصار العسكري والاقتصادي الإسرائيلي على الواقع الاقتصادي للاجئين الفلسطينيين، في الضفة الغربية، كان أشد وطأة على معظم المؤشرات قيد الدراسة. ومن اجل التكيف مع تدني مستوى المعيشة في ظل انتفاضة الأقصى قام اللاجئون الفلسطينيون باستنزاف مدخراتهم، وتركيز الإنفاق على الحاجات الأساسية، وتأجيل دفع فواتير المياه والكهرباء المستحقة، والاعتماد على المساعدات الإنسانية، والاقتراض من الأهل لأقارب، وزيادة ساعات العمل، والعودة للعمل في الزراعة والاقتصاد المنزلي، وأحيانا زج بعض الأطفال إلى سوق العمل، أوصت الدراسة بعدة توصيات أهمها ضرورة ربط الإغاثة بالتنمية
