Palestinian poets are open in their poems to wide humanistic horizons. They quoted from the Greek myths such as: Sizeef, Tilimak, and Icaros... etc. These nyths formed the pillar of the poems in which the myths text embodied the Palestinian individuals heroism after it was re-formed with a contemporary vision in which language was converted to symbols full of dimensions in terms of connation and imagery that express the lived situation, and clarifies the image of the lands usurper and the image of the Palestinian who is grasping the life time embers. The poets transformed all this into an equivalent topic that reflects their poetic dream to create a better human future in terms of its subjective humanistic dimensions. This research aims at shedding light on the aspects of this aesthetic usage of the Greek myths and their artistic, realistic connotations. The study deals with etymology, definitions and derivation of these myths; moreover, it deals with their trends that are based on natwal, literary and historical phenomena. It also deals with the views of psychologists and philosophers regarding their significant in human thought in addition to causes of embedding them in contemporary poetry. Excerpts of poetry are analyzed to find out to what extent they express the visions of the Palestinian poets and their awareness of the myths artistic value in their poetry.

انفتح الشعراء الفلسطينيون في قصائدهم على آفاق إنسانية رحبة، فنهلوا من معين الأساطير اليونيانية، مثلك سيزيف، وتليماك، وإيكاروس... الخ. وقد شكلت هذهالأساطير عماد النصوص الشعرية التي جسدت بطولة الإنسان الفلسطيني، بعد إعادة صياغتها برؤية عصرية، تحولت فيها اللغة إلى رموز مكتنزة بأبعاد دلالية وتصويرية، تعبر عن الواقع المعيش، وتستجلي صورة مغتصب الأرض، وصورة الفلسطيني القابض على جمرة الحياة، وجعل الشعراء من ذلك كله معادلاً موضوعياً، يعكس حملهم الشعري في صنع مستقبل إنساني أفضل في أبعاده الذاتية والإنسانية. يأتي هذا البحث ليضيء جوانب هذا التوظيف الجمالي للأساطير اليونانية ودلالاتها الفنية والواقعية، ويبين أصلها اللغوي المعجمي، واشتقاقها في العصر الحديث، وتعريفها، واتهجاهاتها المستندة إلى الظواهر الطبيعية،والأدبية، والتاريخية، وآراء علماء النفس والفلاسفة في طبيعتها وأهميتها في الفكر الإنساني، وأسباب استحضارها في الشعر المعاصر، ومن ثم تحليل نماذج مختارة للكشف عن مدى تعبيرها عن رؤى الشعراء الفلسطينيين، وعن وعيهم بقيمها الفنية في نصوصهم الشعرية
