This Study examines the book by Abu al -Hassan al- Jurjani’s work which is entitled: “Mediation Between al – Mutanabi and his Adversaries”. The study deals with critical impact discussed in his book. The study also discusses the reasons behind Al-Jurjani’s mediation and the sources he referred to in his book. It concludes that Al –Jurjani has adopted a new approach which differs in the criterion used or his perspective to some critical poetic issues.

هذه دراسة تبحث في كتاب أبي الحسن علي عبد العزيز الجرجاني المسمى "الوساطة بين المتنبي وخصومه"، وتتناول الدراسة في موضوعها الرئيس القيمة النقدية التي اشتمل عليها الكتاب، وتقف الدراسة على الأسباب التي دعت الجرجاني إلى وضع وساطته، والمصادر التي اعتمد عليها في مادة الكتاب. وتخلص الدراسة إلى أن الجرجاني قد رسم منهجاً جديداً مخالفاً لما شاع في عصره، سواء أكان ذلك من خلال المعيار الذي استعمله أم من خلال نظراته النقدية لقضايا الشعر.
