This study aims at recognizing the role of Palestinian university students in development, the extent of their participation in developing the Palestinian community, defining the obstacles faced by them and what is the visionary suggestion to consolidate their participation. Besides to this, it has been necessary to know if there are differences of statistical significance concerning university students' participation in development according to variables like (gender, university, place and specialization). The study is based on a sample consisting of (430 male and female students from Islamic, Al Azhar and Al Aqsa universities) located in the Gaza Strip. Finally, the study concludes that there are no differences of statistical significance according to variables like (gender, place and specialization) in development; but there are differences according to university variables for Al Azhar and Al Aqsa universities at the levels of participation in political development particularly and development generally.

هدفت هذه الدراسة التعرف إلى دور الشباب الجامعي الفلسطيني في التنمية ومدى مشاركتهم في تنمية المجتمع الفلسطيني، وتحديد المعوقات التي تواجههم, وما التصور المقترح لتعزيز هذه المشاركة، إلى جانب معرفة إذا ما كان هناك فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في مدى مشاركة عينة الدراسة في التنمية طبقاً لمتغيرات: (النوع، الجامعة، مكان الإقامة، التخصص) وطبقت الدراسة على عينة قوامها: (430) طالباً وطالبة من الجامعات الثلاثة بقطاع غزة (الإسلامية، الأزهر، الأقصى) وتوصلت الدراسة إلى أنه لا توجد فروق في مدى مشاركة عينة الدراسة تبعاً لمتغير: (النوع، والتخصص، ومكان الإقامة) على مستوى التنمية، بينما وجدت فروق تبعاً لمتغير الجامعة لصالح جامعتي الأزهر والأقصى في مستويات المشاركة في التنمية السياسية والتنمية بشكل عام.
