Abstract
The purpose of this study is to identify the effect of the proposed educational program to improve the Angle of the trunkby the undulation technique of breaststroke by implementing pool noodle as a tool. The researcher follows the experimental method applied on a swimmer group consisting of (15) female students, enrolled in swimming (2) course of first term (2008/2009) at the faculty of Physical Education in Yarmouk University. Implementing the experimental method was accompanied by extraordinary music, and it lasted for (10) weeks; with two meetings weekly and each one takes a time period of 30 minutes. Two standard tests were conducted with and without the experimental method for the involved swimmers by using (T.test) to identify the variation trend in dynamic execution of the undulation technique for breaststroke. The evaluation of the tests’ results has shown that the application of the educational program associated with music has a positive influence on the improvement of the performance of the upper part of the body in breaststroke through developing the flexibility of the back muscles of the swimmers. Special skills are acquired in the swimmers dynamic movements; it also lead to more frequency and to a developed behaviour in water. The researcher recommends the applicability of this educational program as a new training methodology to effectively accelerate the learning phase of swimming sports.
