This study aims at identifying the attitudes of the teachers of physical education towards the scouting movement in the West Bank. It also aims at identifying the differences in views as related to variables such as gender, academic degree, scouting experience, school, scouting qualification, and scout supervision. A ‘41’ item questionnaire was used to test the population of the study who were 190 teachers of both sexes. Computations were conducted by the use of SPSS. Independent t-test and One Way ANOVA were also used to identify the differences in interests, following the independent factors. Scheffe test to compare between averages. Results show that teachers have positive attitudes, i.e. (87.76%). The differences statistical indicators concerning teachers’ attitudes, according to academic degrees were in favour of BA holders or higher degrees. Scout supervisors were in favor of supervisors and in favor to all those with the longest period of experience. However, as concerns gender, school, and scout qualifications, there were no clear indicators. The researcher recommends that teachers who do scouting, supervision motivation-system be used, and that training courses are indispensible at all times.

هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على اتجاهات معلمي ومعلمات التربية الرياضيّة نحو الحركة الكشفيّة في الضفة الغربيّة، إضافة إلى تحديد الفروق في الاتجاهات تبعاً لمتغيرات الجنس، والمؤهل العلميّ، والخبرة الكشفيّة، والمؤهل الكشفيّ، والمدرسة، والإشراف الكشفيّ، ولتحقيق ذلك أُجريت الدراسة على عينة قوامها (190) معلمًا ومعلمةً، وطُبق عليها الاستبانة لقياس الاتجاهات التي تكوّنت من (41) فقرة، وبعد جمع البيانات عُولجت باستخدام البرنامج الإحصائي SPSS، والمتوسطات الحسابيّة والنسب المئويّة لتحديد الاتجاهات، واختبار (ت) لمجموعتين مستقلتين Independent t-test، وتحليل التباين الأحادي One way ANOVA لتحديد الفروق في الاتجاهات تبعاً إلى المتغيرات المستقلة، إضافة إلى اختبار شفيه Scheffe Test للمقارنات البعدية بين المتوسطات الحسابية. وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة أنّ اتجاهات المعلمين والمعلمات كانت إيجابيّة، حيث وصلت إلى (%87.67) إضافة إلى ظهور فروق ذات دلالة إحصائيّة في الاتجاهات لدى المعلمين والمعلمات تبعاً لمتغيرات المؤهل العلمي ولصالح بكالوريوس فأعلى، والإشراف الكشفيّ ولصالح المشرفين، والخبرة الكشفيّة ولصالح الخبرة الأطول، بينما ظهرت عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائيّة تبعاً لمتغيرات الجنس، والمدرسة، والمؤهل الكشفي. وأوصى الباحث بضرورة إقرار نظام الحوافز للمعلمين والمعلمات المشرفين في الحركة الكشفيّة، وعقد دورات تدريبيّة تأهيليّة باستمرار للمعلمين والمعلمات.
