Abstract
The aim of this study was to determine the level of functionality of physical education teachers in the province, and has sought to reveal the impact of gender and experience training on job performance of physical education teachers in Karak governorate. The researcher developed a scale to determine the level of job performance of teachers of Physical Education in the Karak governorate. The study population of all teachers of physical education in public schools in the school districts of Karak governorate for the academic year 2011/2012 and numbered (232) teachers who are officially designated in the Ministry of Education, the study sample was selected randomly and the number of its members (100 teachers). The researchers recommended to introducing the concepts of community work and to highlight the social responsibility and its importance during the preparation courses of physical education teachers and by holding in-service training courses give physical education teacher full knowledge about how to do effective social roles.

الملخص
هدفت هذه الدراسة التعرف إلى مستوى الأداء الوظيفي لدى معلمي التربية الرياضية في محافظة الكرك جنوب الأردن. حيث قام الباحثون بتطوير مقياس لتحديد مستوى الأداء الوظيفي لدى معلمي ومعلمات التربية الرياضية في محافظة الكرك. تكون مجتمع الدراسة من جميع معلمي ومعلمات التربية الرياضية في المدارس الحكومية في مديريات التربية والتعليم التابعة لمحافظة الكرك للعام الدراسي 2011/2012 وبلغ عددهم (232) معلم ومعلمة من المعينين رسميا في وزارة التربية والتعليم،أما عينة الدراسة تم اختيارها بالطريقة العشوائية وبلغ عدد أعضاءها (100 معلم ومعلمة، وتمثل ما نسبته (43%) من مجتمع الدراسة الأصلي موزعين حسب متغير الدارسة المستقل. وأظهرت النتائج وجود مستوى أداء وظيفي مرتفع لدى معلمي التربية الرياضية في محافظة الكرك باستثناء من تزيد خبرتهم التدريسية عن 20سنه، وباستثناء مجال المسؤولية المجتمعية وأن اختلاف الجنس لا يؤدي إلى اختلاف مستوى الأداء الوظيفي عند معلمي التربية الرياضية في محافظة الكرك. وأوصى الباحثون بإدخال مفاهيم العمل المجتمعي وإبراز المسؤولية المجتمعية وأهميتها وذلك خلال مساقات إعداد معلمي التربية الرياضية وعن طريق عقد دورات تدريبية أثناء الخدمة تعطي معلم التربية الرياضية المعرفة الكاملة حول كيفية القيام بأدوار اجتماعية فعالة.
