Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between job enrichment and work motivation. In addition, to identify a difference of job enrichment and motivation work according to gender and job rank variables among administrative employees at Al- Balqa Applied University Main Campus. The study sample consisted of (300) employees' which including (170) Males and (130) Females. It has been selected using a stratified random sample method. The study develops two instruments to measure job enrichment elements and work motivation; after finding psychometric properties for two scales. The finding reveals that there is a significant positive relationship between job enrichment elements and intrinsic motivation among employees. Therefore, the levels of job enrichment elements are moderate; also, the extrinsic motivation levels are higher than the intrinsic motivation. In addition, the gender employees influenced on both job enrichment elements and work motivation in propriety to female Employees. Further, there are no significant statistical differences in job rank on both of job enrichment and work motivation. The study recommends that future studies can contribute to increase the availability of job enrichment elements and work motivation among the Employees' at Al- Balqa Applied University.

الملخص

هدفت الدراسة بشكل رئيس إلى معرفة العلاقة بين الاثراء الوظيفي والدافعية للعمل. إضافة إلى دراسة وجود فروقات في الإثراء الوظيفي والدافعية للعمل تعود لمتغيرات الجنس، والدرجة الوظيفية لدى العاملين الإداريين بجامعة البلقاء التطبيقية، تكونت عينة الدراسة من (300) موظفٍ من الجنسين؛ بواقع (170 موظفاً، و130 موظفة)، تم اختيارها بإتباع أسلوب العينة العشوائية الطبقية، تم تطبيق مقياسين: واحد لقياس عناصر الإثراء الوظيفي، والثاني لقياس الدافعية للعمل بعد إيجاد الخصائص السيكومترية المناسبة لهما، دلت نتائج الدراسة على وجود علاقة إيجابية طردية بين عناصر الإثراء الوظيفي والدافعية الداخلية للعمل، كما بينت نتائج الدراسة أن درجة توافر عناصر الإثراء الوظيفي لدى العاملين كانت بصورة متوسطة؛ وأن مستوى الدافعية الخارجية للعمل كان أعلى من مستوى الدافعية الداخلية، إضافة إلى أن درجة توافر عناصر الإثراء الوظيفي، والدافعية للعمل تتأثران بجنس الموظف لصالح الموظفات الإناث، كما دلت نتائج الدراسة على عدم وجود فروق ذات دالة إحصائية لمتغير الدرجة الوظيفية على كل من الإثراء الوظيفي والدافعية للعمل لدى العاملين في جامعة البلقاء التطبيقية. وقد أوصى الباحث بإجراء المزيد من الدراسات التي تسهم في زيادة توافر عناصر الإثراء الوظيفي والدافعية للعمل لدى العاملين.
