Abstract

This study aimed to identify the effect of using educational films on achievement among the eighth-grade students in the city of Tulkarm. The study population consisted of (851) students, according to the statistics of the Directorate of Education in Tulkarm. The study sample consisted of the (73) eighth-grade students at the Abi Salma Al Karmi Basic Girls School in Tulkarm. This study used an experimental research approach. The researcher chose two intentional classes from three available at school. One was experimental group and the other was a control group. The number of students in the experimental group was (37) (used educational films), whereas the number of students in the control group was (36) (traditional). The researcher prepared an assessment test about the construction technology unit of the eighth-grade technology textbook. The study found out that there were statistically significant differences between arithmetic means of the experimental group (taught by the educational film) and the control group (taught in the traditional method without the educational film) in the results of the post-achievement test. The study recommended the need to urge the curriculum designers to provide educational films with school textbooks which could benefit the content knowledge.

الملخص

هدفت هذه الدراسة التعرف إلى أثر استخدام الفيلم التعليمي على التحصيل الدراسي لدى طلبة الصف الثامن الأساسي في مدينة طولكرم. وتكون مجتمع الدراسة من (851) طالباً وطالبة وفق إحصائيات مديرية التربية والتعليم في طولكرم، تكونت عينة الدراسة من طالبات الصف الثامن الأساسي في مدرسة بنات أبي سلمى الكرمي الأساسية والبالغ عددها (73) طالبة، حيث اختار الباحث شعبتين قصدياً من أصل ثلاث شعب متوافرة في المدرسة، فكانت إحداهما تجريبية والأخرى ضابطة، حيث بلغ عدد طالبات المجموعة التجريبية (باستخدام الفيلم التعليمي) (37) طالبة، بينما بلغ عدد طالبات المجموعة الضابطة (دون استخدام الفيلم التعليمي) (36) طالبة. قام الباحث بإعداد اختبار التحصيل، في وحدة تكنولوجيا البناء، من كتاب التكنولوجيا للصف الثامن الأساسي المقرر تدريسه في العام الدراسي (2017/2018) م، حيث تكون الاختبار من (6) فقرات صواب وخطأ، و(4) فقرات اختيار من متعدد بأربعة بدائل و(11) فقرة مقاليّة، استخدمت هذه الدراسة المنهج التجريبي. وخرجت الدراسة لأهم النتائج الآتية: هناك فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة(α≤0.05) بين المتوسطات الحسابية لعلامات طلبة المجموعة التجريبية (الذين دُرِّسوا باستخدام الفيلم التعليمي) وبين طلبة المجموعة الضابطة (الذين دُرّسوا بالطريقة التقليدية بدون استخدام الفيلم التعليمي) على اختبار التحصيل البعدي. وخرجت الدراسة بأهم التوصيات الآتية: دعوة القائمين على إعداد المناهج بضرورة توفير أفلام تعليمية مرفقة مع المادة الدراسية، تخدم المحتوى التعليمي في الكتاب.
