This study aims at identifying the problems facing dentists in the North Region in Jordan, Where the population of the study consisted of all dentists working in health centers located in the North Region, which fall within the range of the governorates (Ajloun, Irbid, Jerash, and Mafraq), and their number was (171) dentists, and the study sample consisted of (154) dentists, who were selected from the study population. The study was implemented during the period from (1/25/2020 to 07/30/2020). The study relied on the descriptive approach, and a questionnaire was built to collect data, containing three fields: (personal and social problems, technical problems, administrative problems). The results showed that the problems faced by dentists as a whole came in a medium degree, the most prominent of which were technical problems, followed by administrative problems, and finally personal and social problems, all of which came in a medium degree. The results indicated that there are no statistically significant differences for personal and social problems, technical problems, and administrative problems faced by dentists and the problems as a whole, depending on the difference in variables (gender, years of experience, workplace, courses, and salary). In light of the findings of the current study, the researcher recommends the necessity of holding educational seminars for doctors to provide opportunities for them to develop themselves.

هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على المشكلات التي تواجه أطباء الأسنان في إقليم الشمال، حيث تكون مجتمع الدراسة من جميع أطباء الأسنان العاملين في المراكز الصحية التي تقع في إقليم الشمال والتي تقع ضمن نطاق محافظات (عجلون، وإربد، وجرش، والمفرق)، وعددهم (171) طبيباً وطبيبة، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (154) طبيباً وطبيبة تم اختيارهم من مجتمع الدراسة، وتم تطبيق الدراسة خلال الفترة من (25/1/2020 إلى 30/7/2020)، واعتمدت الدراسة على المنهج الوصفي، وتم بناء استبيان لجمع البيانات، واشتمل على ثلاث مجالات وهي: (المشكلات الشخصية والاجتماعية، المشكلات الفنية، المشكلات الإدارية). أظهرت النتائج أن المشكلات التي يواجهها أطباء الأسنان ككل جاءت بدرجة متوسطة، وكان أبرزها المشكلات الفنية، تلتها المشكلات الإدارية، وأخيراً المشكلات الشخصية والاجتماعية وجاءت جميعها بدرجة متوسطة، وأشارت النتائج إلى عدم وجود فروق دالة إحصائية للمشكلات الشخصية والاجتماعية والفنية والإدارية التي يواجهها أطباء الأسنان والمشكلات ككل تبعاً لاختلاف متغيرات (الجنس، وسنوات الخبرة، ومكان العمل، والدورات، والراتب). في ضوء نتائج الدراسة الحالية، يوصي الباحث بضرورة عقد ندوات تثقيفية للأطباء لإتاحة الفرص لهم في تطوير أنفسهم.
