Sustainable development contributes to the development of societies, as they are an integral part of the relationships that are taking place there, which calls for the intervention of the law by the international and national branch to regulate this relationship and achieve sustainable development of its objectives. Here, the importance of the study was to highlight the legal challenges facing sustainable development in Palestine by demonstrating the extent to which legislation contributes to sustainable development and drawing the attention of those concerned to the absence of such a contribution from Palestinian legislation in order to overcome it and to work to eliminate this challenge through sustainable development in Palestine. The main problem of this research is the following question: how much does legal legislation contribute to sustainable development in Palestine? To answer this problem, the descriptive approach was adopted to describe the state of sustainable development in Palestine and to illustrate the legal challenges it faces, using the analysis pattern to analyses the information contained in the particular and to deduce the facts visible from it. The results of the research reflected its problem most notably that legal challenges are one of the greatest challenges facing sustainable development in Palestine, given the absence of its hoped-for role in achieving sustainable development of its goals. The researcher therefore came up with several recommendations, the most important of which was the need to work on the issuance of comprehensive and coherent legislation that frames the dimensions of sustainable development in Palestine, and contributes to the latter's achievement of its objectives legislated by the United Nations.

تساهم التنمية المستدامة في تطور ورُقي المجتمعات، فهي جزءاً لا يتجزأ من العلاقات الدائرة فيها، وهو الأمر الذي يستدعي تدخل القانون بفرعية الدولي والوطني لتنظيم هذه العلاقة وتحقيق التنمية المستدامة لأهدافها، وهنا تمثلت أهمية الدراسة في إبراز التحديات القانونية التي تواجه التنمية المستدامة في فلسطين ببيان مدى مساهمة التشريعات في تحقيق التنمية المستدامة ولفت نظر المعنيين إلى غياب تلك المساهمة عن التشريع الفلسطيني من أجل التغلب عليه والعمل على إزالة هذا التحدي عن طريق التنمية المستدامة في فلسطين. تَمثَّل الإشكال الرئيس لهذا البحث في التساؤل التالي: ما مدى مساهمة التشريعات القانونية في تحقيق التنمية المستدامة في فلسطين؟ للإجابة على هذه الإشكالية اعتمد المنهج الوصفي لوصف حالة التنمية المستدامة في فلسطين وبيان التحديات القانونية التي تواجهها، مستخدماً نمط التحليل لتحليل المعلومات الواردة في الخصوص واستنتاج الحقائق الظاهرة منها. جاءت نتائج البحث معبرةً عن إشكاليته وكان من أبرزها أنَّ التحديات القانونية تعتبر من أعظم التحديات التي تواجه التنمية المستدامة في فلسطين، وذلك بالنظر إلى غياب دورها المأمول في تحقيق التنمية المستدامة لأهدافها. وعليه خرج الباحث بعديد التوصيات كان أهمها ضرورة العمل على إصدار تشريعات شاملة متناسقة تؤطر أبعاد التنمية المستدامة في فلسطين، وتساهم في تحقيق الأخيرة لأهدافها المشرعة من قبل الأمم المتحدة.
