الملخص
يتابع ملايين الأشخاص حول العالم الأحداث الرياضية عبر شاشات التلفزيون، ويفعلون ذلك لأسباب متعددة ومتنوعة. إن استخدام الرياضة من قبل الدول كوسيلة للتواصل مع الأحداث والديناميات العالمية له أهمية كبيرة ومماثلة للأدوار التي تلعبها السياسة والعلاقات الدولية ووسائل الإعلام العالمية. في هذه الدراسة الكمية، تم التحقيق في دوافع وتفضيلات مشجعي الرياضة الفلسطينيين أثناء مشاهدتهم لمباريات كأس العالم لكرة القدم التي اقيمت في قطر عام 2022. أظهرت نتائج الدراسة ارتباطات ملحوظة بين متغيرات البحث، حيث أشار المشاركون إلى أن هذا الحدث لم يثر اهتمام وفود أجنبية فقط بقضية الشعب الفلسطيني، بل ساهم أيضًا في تصحيح المفاهيم الخاطئة حول العالمين العربي والإسلامي. وقد خلص الباحثان الى أن مشجعي كرة القدم الفلسطينيين يعبرون عن هوياتهم الوطنية والثقافية والسياسية من خلال شغفهم الشديد وحبهم للعبة كرة القدم.
