Who Can Submit?
All authors may submit an original work for
consideration in The Palestinian Medical and Pharmaceutical Journal (PMPJ) if
they hold the copyright to the submitted content or have explicit permission
from the copyright owner(s). Authors are the original copyright holders of
their work. The journal follows an open-access policy, and all accepted
manuscripts will be published under the CC BY 4.0 license, ensuring free and
unrestricted access.
Editorial Policies
The Editor-in-Chief of the journal is the Dean
of Scientific Research at An-Najah National University. The Editor-in-Chief is
responsible for conducting the initial evaluation of the submitted manuscripts
before the double-blind peer review process. Regardless of any other
non-scientific aspects, the first evaluation is conducted solely based on
scientific value. The final decision about a manuscript is made by the
editorial board based on reports made by experts within the field of the
submitted manuscript. The Editor-in-Chief has no authority to accept or reject
a submitted manuscript without the approval of the editorial board.
Open Access and Reuse Policy
The Palestinian Medical and Pharmaceutical
Journal (PMPJ) is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal published by
An-Najah National University's Deanship of Scientific Research. We are
committed to providing unrestricted access to high-quality medical and
pharmaceutical research free of charge to both readers and authors. The
Palestinian Medical and Pharmaceutical Journal (PMPJ) does not impose any
publication or submission fees, ensuring that scientific knowledge remains
accessible to all without financial barriers. Manuscripts published by The
Palestinian Medical and Pharmaceutical Journal (PMPJ) are available under the
Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license, allowing users to read,
download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of its
manuscripts, and to adapt the content for any lawful purpose, provided that
proper credit is given to the authors. Authors retain full copyright to their
work while granting The Palestinian Medical and Pharmaceutical Journal (PMPJ)
the right of first publication under the CC BY 4.0 license. No additional
permissions are required from the authors or publishers. The Palestinian
Medical and Pharmaceutical Journal (PMPJ) does not impose any restrictions on
the reuse of its content, ensuring broad dissemination and accessibility. All
published content is freely available without registration or subscription to
support the widest possible audience and maximize the impact of medical and
pharmaceutical research.
General Submission Rules
Submitted manuscripts cannot have been
previously published, nor be forthcoming in an archival journal or book (print
or electronic). Please note: "publication" in a working-paper series
does not constitute prior publication. In addition, by submitting material to
The Palestinian Medical and Pharmaceutical Journal (PMPJ), the author is
stipulating that the material is not currently under review at another journal
(electronic or print) and that he or she will not submit the material to
another journal (electronic or print) until the completion of the editorial
decision process at The Palestinian Medical and Pharmaceutical Journal (PMPJ).

Formatting Requirements
The Palestinian Medical and Pharmaceutical
Journal (PMPJ) has no general rules about the formatting of manuscripts upon
initial submission. There are, however, rules governing the formatting of the
final submission. See Final Manuscript Preparation Guidelines for details.
Although bepress can provide limited technical support, it is ultimately the
responsibility of the author to produce an electronic version of the manuscript
as a high-quality PDF (Adobe's Portable Document Format) file, or a Microsoft
Word, WordPerfect or RTF file that can be converted to a PDF file. It is
understood that the current state of technology of Adobe's Portable Document
Format (PDF) is such that there are no, and can be no, guarantees that
documents in PDF will work perfectly with all possible hardware and software
configurations that readers may have.
Rights for Authors and The Palestinian Medical
and Pharmaceutical Journal (PMPJ)The authors retain full copyright to the
published manuscripts. The Palestinian Medical and Pharmaceutical Journal
(PMPJ) doesn't require copyright transfer, but only a nonexclusive license to
publish and disseminate it for the first publication with an open access
policy. All manuscripts published are under the Creative Commons Attribution
4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. This permits anyone to copy, transmit,
and adapt the work with proper credit to the authors. This means that authors
retain full copyright for their work, but allow anyone to download, reuse, and
modify the work as long as the original authors are given due credit.
Attribution and Usage Policies
All The Palestinian Medical and Pharmaceutical
Journal (PMPJ) publications are published under the Creative Commons
Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. This allows everyone to

The Palestinian Medical and Pharmaceutical
Journal (PMPJ) supports open access and the principle that authors retain the
ownership of their work. Therefore, the following copyright terms apply:
- Authors retain full copyright of their manuscripts. The
Palestinian Medical and Pharmaceutical Journal (PMPJ) does not ask authors to
transfer copyright, but only a license to the right of first publication and
the non-exclusive rights to circulate and disseminate their work under open
access principles.
- All manuscripts published by The Palestinian Medical and
Pharmaceutical Journal (PMPJ) are under the license of Creative Commons
Attribution 4.0, which allows for wide dissemination, reuse, and adaptation
with due acknowledgment of authors. It ensures reuse rights are granted
considering an open-access model of publishing.
- Authors retain all commercial rights to their work. The
Palestinian Medical and Pharmaceutical Journal (PMPJ) puts no restriction on
the authors from reusing, adapting, or distributing it in any form whether
commercially or non-commercially.
- The Palestinian Medical and Pharmaceutical Journal (PMPJ) is
completely open access. "All rights reserved" can never apply to open

General Terms and Conditions of Use
Users of The Palestinian Medical
and Pharmaceutical Journal (PMPJ) website and/or software agree not to misuse The
Palestinian Medical and Pharmaceutical Journal (PMPJ) service or software in
any way. The failure of The Palestinian Medical and Pharmaceutical Journal
(PMPJ) to exercise or enforce any right or provision in the policies or the
Submission Agreement does not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
If any term of the Submission Agreement or these policies is found to be
invalid, the parties nevertheless agree that the court should endeavor to give
effect to the parties' intentions as reflected in the provision, and the other
provisions of the Submission Agreement and these policies remain in full force
and effect. These policies and the Submission Agreement constitute the entire
agreement between The Palestinian Medical and Pharmaceutical Journal (PMPJ) and
the Author(s) regarding submission of the manuscript.
Allegations of Misconduct
The Palestinian Medical and
Pharmaceutical Journal (PMPJ) takes any form of research misconduct seriously,
including but not limited to plagiarism, data fabrication, and citation
manipulation. We have established a procedure for investigating and resolving
allegations brought to our attention, ensuring fairness and confidentiality
throughout the process. In line with the Committee on Publication Ethics
guidelines, all cases will be handled promptly and transparently.
Complaints and Appeals
We provide authors and readers with a
structured process for submitting complaints related to editorial decisions or
the conduct of the journal staff, editorial board, or publisher. Complaints
will be addressed impartially, and independent editorial board members will
review appeals against editorial decisions to ensure fairness.
Post-Publication Discussions
The Palestinian Medical and
Pharmaceutical Journal (PMPJ) encourages open discussions after the publication
of manuscripts. Authors and readers are invited to submit their comments or
responses either directly to the journal or through established platforms for
scholarly debate. This process enhances the critical review and transparency of
the published literature.
Corrections and Retractions
The integrity of the scholarly record is of paramount importance. The Palestinian Medical and Pharmaceutical Journal (PMPJ) has developed clear policies for issuing corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern where errors or issues affecting the validity of a published manuscript are identified. Authors are expected to cooperate in correcting any mistakes that are discovered post-publication.
Repository Policy
The Palestinian Medical and
Pharmaceutical Journal (PMPJ) encourages authors to deposit multiple versions
of their work in institutional or other repositories. The particular policy
concerning different versions is explained below:
- Submitted Version (Preprint): The
submitted version of the manuscript may be deposited in non-commercial or
institutional repositories with no embargo.
- Accepted Version: The author can
immediately place the version of their manuscript in non-commercial or institutional
repositories with no embargo.
- Published Version (Version of Record): The final published version may be placed in non-commercial or institutional repositories with no embargo.
