Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the effect of training on tests forms of Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) in improving tenth grade students' performance in reading comprehension tests. The sample of the study consisted of (54) tenth male grade students (two sections). One section was selected randomly to be assigned the training on international tests forms (PISA), and served as the Experimental group, whereas, the other one was assigned as the Controlled group, which wasn't involved in training. The results of the statistical analysis showed that there was significant difference in the post-test scores on the reading skills of the two groups, for the benefit of the Experimental group. The results of the multivariate analysis showed that there were statistically significant differences between the average of the experimental and control groups in one of the skills identified in the reading field: the " reflection and evaluation" skill for the experimental group.

الملخص

هدفت هذه الدراسة الكشف عن أثر التدريب على نماذج اختبارات البرنامج الدوليّ لتقييم الطلبة (PISA) في تحسين أداء طلبة الصف العاشر في اختبارات فهم المقروء في مديرية التربية والتعليم للواء قصبة إربد. تكوّن أفراد الدراسة من (54) طالبًا في الصف العاشر الأساسي، بواقع شعبتين، في مدرسة الملك عبد الله الثاني للتميز، في قصبة إربد للعام الدراسي (2018/2019). واختيرت إحدى الشعب عشوائيًا؛ لتمثّل المجموعة التجريبيّة التي تمّ تدريبها على نماذج الاختبارات الدولية (PISA) الخاصة بمجال المهارات القرائيّة؛ في حين عُدّت الشعبة الأُخرى هي المجموعة الضابطة، حيث لم تخضع للتدريب. وأظهرت نتائج التحليلات الإحصائية وجود فرق ذي دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطي درجات المجموعتين التجريبية والضابطة على أدائهم في اختبار المهارات القرائيّة البعدي، لصالح المجموعة التجريبية. كما كشفت نتائج تحليل التباين الأحادي المتعدد المصاحب وجود فروق دالة إحصائيًّا بين متوسطات المجموعتين التجريبية والضابطة في مهارة واحدة من المهارات التي تمّ تحديدها في مجال القراءة؛ وهي مهارة "التأمّل والتقييم"، لصالح المجموعة التجريبية.
