Abstract

The study aimed to study the academic adjustment and its relationship with the general self-efficacy for the students in the Faculty of Educational Sciences at Al al-Bayt University. The sample consisted of (200) students (79 males and 121 females) who were chosen by using cluster random sampling technique. The researcher used Jerusalem and Schwarzer’s General Self-Efficacy Scale and Henry Boro’s Academic Adjustment Instrument. The findings revealed that no statistically significant differences in the academic adjustment due to sex, year of study or the interaction between them. However, the study revealed a positive correlation between Academic Adjustment and General Self-Efficacy.

الملخص

هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى دراسة التكيف الأكاديمي ومعرفة علاقته بالكفاءة الذاتية العامة لدى طلبة كلية العلوم التربوية في جامعة آل البيت؛ حيث تم اختيار عينة الدراسة بالطريقة العشوائية الطبقية، وبلغت (200) طالب وطالبة، منهم (79) طالبا و(121) طالبة؛ ولتطبيق الدراسة استخدم الباحث مقياس الكفاءة الذاتية العامة لجيروزلم وتشيفيرز ومقياس هنري بورو للتكيف الأكاديمي؛ وقد كشفت نتائج الدراسة عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية لدى أفراد عينة الدراسة في التكيف الأكاديمي تعزى لجنس الطالب، أو المستوى الدراسي، أو التفاعل بينهما. وأظهرت النتائج أيضا وجود ارتباط موجب دال إحصائيا بين التكيف الأكاديمي والكفاءة الذاتية العامة لدى أفراد عينة الدراسة.
