This study aims to identify the most important criteria for selecting coaches in the Premier football clubs in Jordan from the viewpoint of administrative staff. The researchers used the descriptive survey to identify the most important criteria for selecting coaches. The researcher designed a questionnaire consisting of five domains: technical domain, social domain, personal domain, psychological domain, and economic domain. The sample consists of (60) administrative staff in clubs, and was chosen randomly. In light of the study findings, the researchers recommend that the coach selection must be based on expertise, and personal, psychological qualifications. Moreover, developing of scientific criteria for selecting coaches by the specialized committees, that does not have personal relationships with coaches to give a chance to show their talents.

هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على أهم معايير اختيار المدربين في أندية الدرجة الممتازة لكرة القدم في الأردن من وجهة نظر الإدارة الرياضية. استخدم الباحثان المنهج الوصفي المسحي للتعرف على أهم معايير اختيار المدربين. قام الباحثان ببناء استبانة مكونة من خمسة محاور، هي: المحور الفني، والمحور الاجتماعي، ومحور الشخصية، والمحور النفسي، والمحور الاقتصادي. بلغ حجم العينة (60) عضواً من الهيئة الإدارية تم اختيارهم بالطريقة العشوائية. أظهرت نتائج الدراسة بأن اختيار المدرب يتم بناءً على المحور الفني، ثم محور الشخصية، ويليه المحور الاجتماعي، والنفسي وأخيراً المحور الاقتصادي. وقد أوصى الباحثان بأن يتم اختيار المدرب بناءً على الخبرات الفنية، والشخصية، والنفسية، ووضع معايير علمية لاختيار المدربين من قبل لجان مختصة ليس لها علاقات شخصية مع المدربين، وإعطاء المدربين فرصة لإظهار مواهبهم.
