Abstract

The study aims at analyzing the adequacy of the Intermediate education system outputs with the labor market needs in the Southern region of Jordan, identify the disciplines of educational programs, distribution of the students enrolled in these disciplines, and distribution of employed and unemployed of the diploma graduates. The study used Chi-Square Tests to test the study hypotheses through applying the steps of testing the differences between the relative distributions of employed with proportional distribution of students enrolled, and the relative distribution of employed workers and the relative distribution of the unemployed of diploma graduates according to disciplines and governorate in the Southern of Jordan. The most important results showed that the ratio of enrolled students in the intermediate colleges was 39.7% male and 60.3% female, the highest ratio of females found in Karak governorate 23.2%, and the highest ratio of males in the governorate of Aqaba at about 18.8%. The study also showed that 50.6% of the total enrolled students were at the educational program of commerce, followed by 21.2% at educational program, health program 15.6%, services and tourism programs 5.5%, Industrial program 3.6%, agricultural program 1.1%, and science and computer program 2.3%. The results also indicated a presence of a relatively large adequacy gap between the outputs of the intermediate education system and the needs of the local labor market in the Southern region of Jordan. The study recommended the necessity link between the graduates from intermediate education colleges of diploma with the needs of the local labor market through involving representatives from the public and private sectors to form Program Advisory Committees to develop specialized educational programs under the supervision of Al Balqa Applied University.

تهدف الدراسة إلى تحليل مدى مواءمة مخرجات نظام التعليم المتوسط مع احتياجات سوق العمل في محافظات اقليم جنوب الأردن، والتعرف على تخصصات البرامج التعليمية، وتوزيع أعداد الطلبة المسجلين فيها على مستوى المحافظة، وتوزيع أعداد المشتغلين والمتعطلين عن العمل من خريجي الدبلوم المتوسط. واستُخدِم اختبار مربع كاي (c2) Chi-Test Square في إختبار فرضيات الدراسة بإتباع خطوات اختبار الفروق بين التوزيع النسبي للمشتغلين مع التوزيع النسبي للطلبة المسجلين، وبين التوزيع النسبي للمشتغلين والتوزيع النسبي للمتعطلين عن العمل من خريجي الدبلوم المتوسط حسب البرنامج التعليمي والمحافظة في إقليم جنوب الأردن، وكانت أهم النتائج أن نسبة الطلبة المسجلين في كليات التعليم المتوسط من الذكور 39.7% ومن الإناث 60.3%، وأن أعلى نسبة إناث في محافظة الكرك 23.2%، وأعلى نسبة ذكور في محافظة العقبة نحو 18.8%. كما إن 50.6% من مجمل الطلبة المسجلين هم في البرنامج التجاري، ويليه البرنامج التربوي بنسبة 21.2%، ثم البرنامج الصحي بنسبة 15.6%، والبرنامج الخدمي (السياحي) 5.5%، والبرنامج الصناعي 3.6%، والبرنامج الزراعي 1.1%، وبرنامج العلوم والحاسوب 2.3%. كما دلت النتائج على وجود فجوة مواءمة كبيرة نسبياً بين مخرجات نظام التعليم المتوسط وإحتياجات سوق العمل المحلي لإقليم جنوب الأردن. وأوصت الدراسة على ضرورة الربط بين مخرجات نظام التعليم المتوسط واحتياجات سوق العمل المحلي في إقليم جنوب الأردن، وذلك بإشراك ممثلين عن القطاعين الحكومي والخاص كأعضاء في لجان إستشارية متخصصة لتطوير تخصصات البرامج التعليمية وبإشراف جامعة البلقاء التطبيقية.
