Abstract

This study aimed at finding out the relationship between organizational climate and job satisfaction and the relationship between job satisfaction and demographic variables of faculty members in 20 August 1955- Skikda University. The study sample consisted of (79) faculty members. A survey was conducted to collect data. The collected data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, correlation coefficient, T-test and one way ANOVA. The results of this study showed that organizational climate had a statistically significant positive relationship with job satisfaction. Furthermore, there were no significant statistical differences in job satisfaction according to the faculty members' demographic variables (sex, age, academic qualification, academic rank, teaching experience and faculty). Finally, some recommendations were made such increasing the opportunities of faculty member training, decentralization, faculty members’ participation in decision making, and raising the salaries of faculty members.

الملخص

هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى اختبار العلاقة بين المناخ التنظيمي والرضا الوظيفي، والعلاقة بين الرضا الوظيفي والعوامل الشخصية والوظيفية لأعضاء الهيئة التدريسية في جامعة 20 أوت 1955- سكيكدة في الجزائر. تكونت عينة الدراسة من (79) عضوا من أعضاء هيئة التدريس. واستخدمت استبانة لجمع البيانات. واعتمد في تحليل البيانات على الإحصاء الوصفي، ومعامل الارتباط، واختبار (T-test)، وتحليل التباين الأحادي. وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى نتائج أهمها وجود علاقة ايجابية ذات دلالة إحصائية بين المناخ التنظيمي والرضا الوظيفي، كما لم تظهر الدراسة وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في الرضا الوظيفي تعزى للمتغيرات الشخصية والوظيفية (الجنس، العمر، المؤهل العلمي، الرتبة الأكاديمية، الخبرة المهنية، الكلية) لأعضاء هيئة التدريس. وبناء على النتائج، خلصت الدراسة إلى مجموعة من التوصيات أهمها زيادة فرص التدريب لعضو هيئة التدريس، واللامركزية، ومشاركة أعضاء هيئة التدريس في اتخاذ القرارات، ورفع مستوى الرواتب والأجور.
