The study aimed at investigating students' views of Faculties of Arts in the Jordanian Universities Need in the Inclusion of the Subject National Education in light of the variables of gender and the studying level in the first semester 2015/2016. To achieve the objective of the study, a questionnaire which included (45) items was administered and distributed to four domains: the political security, intellectual security, social security and economic security. The study sample consisted of (443) male and female students. The results of the study showed that the degree of faculties of arts students' need in the inclusion of the national security concept in the subject of National Education in the Jordanian universities was high. Meanwhile the concepts of intellectual domain were the highest degree, followed by the concepts of political domain. The concepts of the social domain ranked third, followed by then the concepts of the economic security which came in the last rank. There are no statistically significant differences in students' response regarding the degree of their need in the inclusion of national security concepts in the subject of National Education in the tool as a whole, attributed to the variables of gender and studying level. In light of the results, the researchers recommended reviewing the plans of the National Education subject in the universities and faculties to include the national security in planning, implementation and evaluation, together with concentrating on the intellectual and political security in light of globalization challenge.

هدفت الدراسة إلى استقصاء آراء طلبة كليات الآداب في الجامعات الأردنية تضمين مفاهيم الأمن الوطني في مادة التربية الوطنية في ضوء متغيرات الجنس والمستوى الدراسي في الفصل الدراسي الأول 2015/2016، ولتحقيق هدف الدراسة استخدمت استبانه تضمنت (45) فقرة، موزعة في أربعة مجالات، هي: الأمن السياسي، والأمن الفكري، والأمن الاجتماعي، والأمن الاقتصادي، على عينة تكونت من (443) طالباً وطالبة، وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن درجة حاجة طلبة كليات الآداب في الجامعات الأردنية تضمين مفاهيم الأمن الوطني في مادة التربية الوطنية، جاءت عالية، حيث حصلت مفاهيم المجال الفكري على أعلى درجة ثم يليها مفاهيم المجال السياسي، يليها في المرتبة الثالثة مفاهيم المجال الاجتماعي ثم مفاهيم الأمن الاقتصادي في المرتبة الأخيرة، وعدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في المتوسطات الحسابية لاستجابات الطلبة حول درجة حاجتهم في تضمين مفاهيم الأمن الوطني في مادة التربية الوطنية على الأداة ككل، تعزى لمتغيري الجنس والمستوى الدراسي، وفي ضوء النتائج أوصى الباحثان إعادة النظر في خطط مادة/ مساق التربية الوطنية في الجامعات والكليات لتضمين مفاهيم الأمن الوطني تخطيطاً وتنفيذاً وتقويماً مع التركيز على الأمن الفكري والسياسي في ظل تحديات العولمة.
