This study aimed at investigating the role of the principals of governmental schools in activating the physical education lesson and the sport activity from the points of view of the physical Education teachers. To achieve that, the study was carried out on a stratified random sample that consisted of (289) male and female teachers of physical education in the north of west-bank. Statistical analysis was performed on SPSS (v. 20) and the statistical significant level was set at (α ≤ 0.05). The results of the study showed that the role of the principals of governmental schools in activating the physical education lesson and activating the physical activity in the north of west-bank from the points of view of the physical Education teachers was high, where the percentage of response for the total score was (71.6%), (73.6%). Furthermore, the results showed that there were statistically significant differences in the role of the principals of governmental schools in activating the physical education lesson and the sport activity in the north of west-bank from the points of view of the physical Education teachers according to gender variable in a favor of the female-teachers, Based on these findings, the study recommends several recommendations where the most important are the need of principals’ attention for the physical education lesson and the physical activity, and to raise the awareness of parents about the importance of the physical education lesson and the physical activity for its health and psychological benefits to their children.

هدفت الدراسة التعرف إلى مدى اهتمام مدراء المدارس الحكومية في حصة التربية الرياضية والنشاط الرياضي في شمال الضفة الغربية من وجهات نظر معلمي ومعلمات التربية الرياضية، لتحقيق ذلك أجريت الدراسة على عينة طبقية عشوائية اشتملت على (249) معلما ومعلمة للتربية الرياضية في شمال الضفة الغربية. واستخدم الباحثون المنهج الوصفي وبعد جمع البيانات تم استخدام برنامج الرزم الإحصائية (SPSS) لتحليل النتائج. أظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن مدى اهتمام مدراء المدارس الحكومية في حصة التربية الرياضية والنشاط الرياضي في منطقة شمال الضفة الغربية من وجهات نظر معلمي ومعلمات التربية الرياضية كان مرتفعا، حيث بلغت النسبة المئوية للاستجابة (71.6%)، (73.6%). كما أظهرت نتائج الدراسة وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في مدى اهتمام مدراء المدارس الحكومية في حصة التربية الرياضية والنشاط الرياضي في منطقة شمال الضفة الغربية بين وجهات نظر معلمي ومعلمات التربية الرياضية تبعا لمتغير الجنس ولصالح المعلمات. وفي ضوء تلك النتائج توصي الدراسة بعدة التوصيات كان أهمها ضرورة الاهتمام من قبل المسئولين بحصة التربية الرياضية والنشاط الرياضي وتوعية الأهالي في أهمية حصة التربية الرياضية والنشاط الرياضي وفوائدها الصحية والنفسية على أبنائهم.
